Never believe that [fascists] are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The [fascists] have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.

Jean-Paul Sartre

(replaced anti-Semite with fascist, as at this point we can see the two were the same)

ICE isn't an attack against the US. A third of the country is in support of these chucklefucks.

The only unifying force is an external threat - like 9/11 showed.

Not necessarily, ICE is now monitoring social media to identify and target illegal immigrants. If your account is already flagged as one, a simple public post with tagged location can be enough for an "intelligence based operation".

Be safe out there, try to not leave any public trace.

Remember, the US, while likes to sell itself as the "sole winner of WW2", the "main force that beat the Nazis", actually profited off the war by selling equipment to both the Allies and Axis powers, and had regular Nazi marches that largely went by unprotested, up until Pearl Harbor.

So, what does it take for the US to stand up in unity?

A clear-cut attack against the US as a whole.

But technically you've already stolen the NFT by taking a photo of it! THIEF!

I mean, kbin was specifically developed (and a lot of people were initially hesitant to join Lemmy instances) because the dev team behind Lemmy was known to be supertankies. No surprise here.

You're right. Brain fart moment.

No no no. That is dessert at that point.

Toast and butter - maybe with a bit of garlic rubbed on the bread prior to buttering - is perfect on its own. Especially in the autumn with the cold weather coming in.

To be fair, Garry's Mod is up there too.

The amount of customisation that one "small project" opened up in general, is astonishing.

In limited numbers, sure.
