This is huge. I remember when pre-LTE networks started being shut down and I felt like nobody cared. Good to see I wasn't the only one that would end up doing anything about this

Maybe a bit too young to play multiplayer and see Microsoft has banned all non-Microsoft-account players, etc.

Luanti is actually free forever

Should be the entire country, not just Portland. We grow plenty of corn

The correct headline was "US Constitution condemns" not "US climate activists condemn"

I won't nitpick when your overall point is "have a backup" 💯

Still waiting for at least one state to require all vehicles around bicycle or higher weight/speed must have a human responsible for the controls & liable at all times

a dystopian vision even Stallman would have struggled to come up with

Or did Stallman engineer all of this? 🤔

Nah, anyone that pretends BitTorrent is worse than their server-based thing is just foolish

Bullshit headline.

It's forcing them to pay more for Nazis to buy yachts and stuff while making phone calls. It's not like the phone calls are provided at cost and that actual cost has gone up.

If a nuclear weapon detonates in Earth's atmosphere on Trump's watch, it will be a biological attack on every human that breathes Earth's air, and our right to self-defense should be invoked without one significant shred of deniability.

They'd get to use the service in exchange for seeding it, not lose money

Not worth it for phones right now since they have to use proprietary hardware to connect to LTE/5G networks and the older networks are available in less and less of the world.

You'd do all the work of replacing all the system components you can, only to be left with a totally incomplete job due to that widespread LTE/5G adoption.

Better to focus on what's needed at a given time. Like, with "sideloading" (choosing your own apps) being banned from Google-certified versions of Android, we really need all our phone manufacturers to make non-Google-certified versions of all the Android phones, even if they still use Android.
