I did have a converter from this to a ps/2 connection when I got a newer computer.

Fairly certain my first computer used something like this for the keyboard. I did not have a mouse.

It has been a while since I did it regularly, but from what I remember you blow raspberries, without sticking out your tongue. There was a bit of getting your lips in the proper form.

I used to practice after school while everyone was at work, sometimes I would sit on the living room couch watching after school cartoons and practice the conch during commercials.

When I was a kid i grew up on a small farm, and we used to blow a conch shell to let everyone know it was meal time.

If only it was installed on my ps5... although I do not know that it is keyboard and mouse compatible there.

Text from my wife just now:

The Sims keeps locking up. I appreciate that you went above and beyond, but it’s done. Stick a fork in it.

I have it running and saving finally. I installed through lutris. From another thread I was going support:

I installed to /home/user_name/Games/the-sims-4/drive_c/users/windows_user/Games/The Sims 4/Game/Bin/TS4_x64.exe and it is saving, it is launching. I will let you know how it is doing once my wife has played a bit. Thank you very much for helping me with this.

I am going to dig into what you wrote because it looks like there is a lot of amazingly useful things in it. I really appreciate your help with this. And my wife is currently making a sim.

I have heard that from other people, but have seen on protondb there are as many that can play it as the cannot. I think I have it working finally is lutris, after almost a month of trying different things.

But then they ran a second crowd funding campaign and did not deliver on that one either.

Today is his 2nd gotcha day.

Original post when he was first adopted

Jethro yesterday

I own a small FLGS, i mean small. 1 employee, me. Sometimes my wife or son watch the places for me for a few hours. Small town too, <9,000 population.

I have had a player coming into the shop for about a year now, he was new to magic. He is one of those WAAC (Win At All Costs) players. He has recently decided he is no longer going to buy magic cards, only print them. A while back he asked me about doing this. I explained the difference between a proxy (when you own a card, but play with a fake because the card is valuable, or possibly damaged) and a counterfeit (you do not own the card, and play with a fake). It is against Wizards' rules for WPN/Play stores for us to allow counterfeit cards for any sanctioned event.

Tonight was my shop's first night hosting the new Two-Headed Giant Commander format. I was playing with a friend vs this guy and another customer. This guy was sitting diagonally from me (and my eyesight is not great) so i could not really see his cards. I cast something that allowed me to destroy up to two artifacts, so i was looking at his cards to decide what to destroy, when i realized every single card he had out was a fake.

When I kicked him out, he did the typical "but i buy a soda every week from you!" BFD, I make 50¢ off those, 75¢ if i get them on sale,

In almost 7 years of being open i have kicked out 3 players, and banned 2. This guy being the second ban, the first one shit himself and ruined a chair.

Years ago I built this table, while it is not the best work, it is the best table I have ever built.

It is very solid, the legs are 4x4s and the top 5 2x6s. The floor of my shop is wood, and normally it is only me moving the table. I stapled pieces of felt to the bottom of the feet, and they worked for a while but now are worn out.

I am looking for an idea of something to put on the feet to make it both easier to move across the floor, and keep the table from marring the floor.

I am thinking pieces of leather may work well. I have tried the plastic things that are supposed to make furniture glide, and they did not work at all.

This is Lenore, she was hit by a car 16 years ago. She had to have her skull and jaw wired together. She was blind in her right eye following the accident. I adopted her from my sister 11 years ago. She passed away 6 years ago, she was at least 16 at the time.

My wife has an old Lenovo i5 thinkpad that we would like to use again with linux, before buying a new computer. I was wondering if there is a tool that I can input the model and stats of the device and it will output a few suggested distros for it.

It is the X1 Carbon 20BT with the i5-5300U Processor, it has 8gb ram. https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/pd100509-overview-for-thinkpad-x1-carbon-type-20bs-20bt

Update: I have installed mint xfce but am downloading cinnamon and switching to that.

Trying to cut down my vehicle usage, however my 75lbs dog comes to work with me every day. I live in an area that is too hot for her to walk with her feet unprotected a significant portion of the year.

I was hoping to convert my niece's old bike trailer into a dog trailer to pull behind. But so far the only two I have found were $1300 and $1500 and it looks like one of them is no longer available.

I recently started to play a crafting mmorpg (bitcraft) and while it runs great on the steam deck, the controls are not great. I have been playing with an old dell usb keyboard and Bluetooth trackball. I would like to find a great Bluetooth keyboard. So many of the wireless keyboards I have looked at require a dongle, which limits my ability to charge unless I use a dock.

I would rather a larger keyboard than a smaller one.

With the impending closure of lemm.ee and both of the current mods being MIA I created a new foraging community !foraging@slrpnk.net

Come join us and share your forages, or learn about ours.

Even Furiosa, my dog, is foraging.
