@lunaticatlarge@toot.io I did not expect to find it useful, as I had other non-integrated, apps handling RSS for me before.

But to my suprise it is extremely useful even so - precisely due to it's being integrated into the browser.

@pgiulan@federate.social Partly closed, true, and yes now is part of the chromium monoculture…but closed source apps are not a show stopper for me if the company has the right position on open web standards and privacy…and they seem great on both.

So far very impressed and happy with #Vivaldi as my new main browser. Glad that they included some apps integrated into the browser that I was not initially expecting to use as much as I do.

RIght now - this is the integrated RSS reader, and the Notes app of all things.
First one, makes me wonder why this wasn't this way in ALL browsers forever, especially #Firefox...

And as to the integrated and sync-able Notes across desktop and mobile apps --> Goodbye, Google Keep.

OK my transfer from #Firefox to #Vivaldi now fully complete. No buyers remorse at all.

#Passkeys on every site you can, make everything so much better, btw

A few notes:

#Vivaldi after tweaking UX really can be a #Calmtech solution - at least as much as any browser can. But you can tweak EVERYTHING on it.

#Vivaldi's RSS feed feature - way more helpful than I thought.

#Already have about 10 ideas on how they could integrate the Fedi even more into the browser.

@maybit @jpthuot03 @mike @stevetex @Vivaldi @jon Not being 100 percent open source is not a show stopper for me -but supporting open web standards is a MUST - and they are super solid on that.

I've been a #Firefox user FOREVER. But with the direction of the recent Mozilla leadership, plus their treatment of @stevetex@mastodon.social has pushed mo over to moving to @Vivaldi@vivaldi.net

Sad, sad day. But they crossed enough lines that it's time. And @jon@vivaldi.net has been a strong advocate for the fediverse and the open web.

@activitypubblueskybridge - as we look to rebuild the old #ActivityPub test suite, and the compatibility report, look at the old one cached here in the WaybackMachine: https://web.archive.org/web/20221031085815/https://test.activitypub.dev/

@maegul @fediverse @fediversenews

Would love to see this evolve into a #Threadiverse Explorer and cover #Kbin too. And others that evolve.

I'm working hard to try to quantify this mini-migration from Reddit. Anyone who has hard quantifiable numbers, please point me to them!
