I've been making a lot of backend changes to the app recently with the main goal of improving the pattern sharing. Here are the changes!

1. Discord!

I've set up a Discord server for any feedback, suggestions and bugs! Feel free to join :)

https://clickstitch.app/discord

2. Link Preview Support for Project Sharing

You can now paste the URL to any site that supports link previews, e.g:

BlueSky:

Discord:

Instagram:

3. Miscellaneous Tools Page

There's now a tools page, for miscellaneous utilities that help with creating a new project! Currently supported is canvas sizes and number of skeins calculator, but if you have any suggestions let me know!

4. Active Project

The latest project to be stitches will now display at the top of the dashboard, for anyone who likes to start many projects!

Making a project for my MIL. Had to censor her name.

I'm down to the last three characters! Hopefully this one will be finished in a few more days!

I made this when the game trailer was released and the studio was doing Fanart Fridays (and yes, it did get featured ^^)

Am I right to assume "FO" is "Finished object"?

Slow going, but I've had a busy week. Had a wild Friday night with the last of the back stitching.

Now to figure out what to do with it.. Frames can be expensive. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ While I think on it, on to the next one that's been sitting for a few months ready to go!

Happy Friday, everyone.

First time posting here. I've finally learned how to navigate Lemmy a little better and have landed here. Thank you for having me.

I used to cross stitch as a kid, and I've picked it up again 25 years later. I'm really enjoying it now that I can count better ๐Ÿ˜‚

Here's a project I picked up last year. I bought it online on Etsy at https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/794868860/foxes-in-the-leaves-easy-cross-stitch?ref

Slowly making my way through it and enjoying every minute.

Edit: Have never attached a photo before, so I've attached it in to URL box.

I'm making this pattern of all the characters from The Office as a gift for someone!

Very fun pattern I'm going through way too fast. I bought it with a cross stitch kit which is not available anymore :(

But you can buy it as a combo with two other cute patterns here. or maybe just get in touch with the seller.

After much procrastinating I am FINALLY getting started on my big original pattern I've been talking out for so long! This is just the very top right corner of what will be a full coverage piece that will probably take me the whole year to finish!

Here is what it hopefully will look like eventually lol

Finally finished the black (for this section). Color!

It's pretty great, my favourite Pokemon

I was told it's proper etiquette to share the pattern link when posting pics

18

And it was not the best experience. I really like the result though, very cute, my partner likes it a lot. But I will probably stick to non-counted stitching methods, they suit me better.

This is going pretty well except I think I picked two shades of orange that are too similar. This pattern doesn't actually tell you which colors to use it just says it's designed to use whatever you already have lol

Hey everyone! I have finally released the next update for ClickStitch; a new page for converting any image into a cross-stitch pattern!

๐Ÿงต You'll be able to preview the palette (currently supports DMC threads) and how many stitches are required for each thread. Then upload to start tracking progress!

๐Ÿ“ท Sometimes if the image is high detail the resulting image can get grainy, so I have added an adjustable smoothing functionality which will hopefully reduce the amount of noise!

Let me know if there are other features you think would be useful to you.

๐Ÿ”— That's not all! Now there is also a share page for projects, so other can keep track of your progress but also to preview the entire history of your stitches.

For example, for my Templar Knight pattern:

Simply move the progress bar into the past!

Would love to see your projects using the share feature! โค

I decided to take a break and try something a little easier with this Maneki Neko pattern!

23

This one may be done now lol I'm still trying to decide if it needs a border before I wash and iron it for framing

24

Getting close to finishing the black for this section. You can see the outline of the two characters and some of the bar. (Cloud and Tifa in Seventh Heaven)

I thought I would be done by now, but I'm still slogging through this blue spotlight with like 6 different shades of blue in it lol

I'll get there soon though!
