For anyone not familiar with the metaphor, it's

There are four boxes to be used in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and cartridge (or ammo). Please use in that order.

In other words, first try talking. Then voting. Then the legal system. And if all of that fails, force (guns).
