Lots of caffeine to bring you up during the day and alcohol to slow the racing thoughts at night. It's no way to live.

Every once in a while I still encounter parents who are hesitant to get their ADHD kid on meds. I try to explain to them that it's not really about performance in school even if that's where it was first noticed.

It's about keeping them from killing themselves or engaging in incredibly self destructive behavior.

I got to experience that a couple of days ago. I should probably get diagnosed...

It has helped me mentally to understand. Medicine doesn't do much except allow me to get things I just fucking don't care about, done at work.

If I want to be able to enjoy things in my free time I'll have to be up all night, or drink myself asleep.

Please do, it's very helpful in just the knowing aspect and being told explicitly how it can and does affect you. Can help you manage it better even when you're not on meds

The way the trump admin is going and his potential "wellness farms", being undiagnosed might be better

Not everyone lives in America though

When the fire hose of right wing propaganda fueled by a trillion dollar military gets turned on, you will eventually.

I find doing CrossFit multiple times a week helps at night. Turns out if you are sufficiently physically exhausted the thoughts tend to slow down. But if they don't that's fine because you are liable to pass out as soon as you stop moving.
