Every political move Donald Trump (Krasnov) has made since he lived in Russia has been an order from the Kremlin.

Like he lived in Russia for years, changed his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican, married a Slovenian escort with ties to the KGB, and then ran for president as a Republican with the full support of Russia's and China's troll farm operations (confirmed by the US Gov)

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_interference_in_the_2016_United_States_elections

And Russia and China are allies.

So anyone paying attention can see this is Russia and China attempting to dethrone the US as the boot on the neck of the human race.

And TBH I'm a lot more afraid of China's boot considering the dissenters dissappear.

Be careful of Chinese troll farms invading these spaces to push their messaging as the US is dropping the ball.

[–] asap@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago

He might be making decisions on behalf of Russia (no comment), but a LOT of rich and powerful Americans and politicians supported him and what he said he was going to do (which is exactly what he did do).

The USA absolutely dropped the ball.

As an American, I'm fine with the US no longer being the most influential anymore, as long as the most influential country that replaces us is a democracy. Preferably much more democratic than we are.

[–] Harlehatschi@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 days ago

Like 95% of democratic countries are much more democratic than the US...

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 25 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I was expecting America to decline during my life. What surprised me is how fast and stupid it was.

[–] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 12 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

[–] WuceBrillis@lemm.ee 49 points 4 days ago (13 children)

Americans have been fucked from the start, Hitler talked a lot about how he was inspired by Americans way of treating colored people.

Then they beat Hitler, but took all his scientists. They included rocket builders, but they also included political science and propagandistists.

The Nazis literally rebuilt in America, and took 71 years to show the people they were there, and 85 years to gain control of the largest military in the world.

Then they had an interesting civil liberties fight for less than a decade, before the Nazi republicans just started the war on drugs as a way of shutting them down and arrested / killed everyone involved.

I simply don't trust Americans to fix this problem themselves. It is my dire belief that the entire world will have to invade America, like we did with Germany.

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 30 points 4 days ago (2 children)

It is my dire belief that the entire world will have to invade America, like we did with Germany.

More likely, the rest of the world will look the other way while America cannibalizes itself.

[–] WuceBrillis@lemm.ee 14 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

I hope thats enough, but i am afraid that while America cannibalises itself, the oligarchic Nazis will just gain more control over the ashes.

[–] FinalRemix@lemmy.world 11 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

That basically is their gameplan. Project2025 aims to turn the US into a christofascist nation, whereas the techbro "Butterfly...something" plan is attempting to dissolve the government and split the nation into corporate serfdoms.

Er... not to douse the flames of my own deliverance or anything but you do remember about the nukes, right?

[–] WuceBrillis@lemm.ee 8 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, everybody has nukes now. We can't stop any evil people from doing anything, because they got nukes. Can't stop russias dictator, can't stop chinas dictator, can't stop the American dictator.

How long will it be before insane amounts of money was able to buy up Europe as well?

[–] Warl0k3@lemmy.world 8 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Yep that's pretty much how it works! Sucks, doesn't it?

[–] InvertedParallax@lemm.ee 8 points 4 days ago (9 children)

The south.

The Nuremberg Laws were Jim crow but with the one drop rule crossed out and Hitlers name written at the top.

Black GIs came back from liberating Europe, to be lynched for being 'too uppity'.

If it wasn't for the south desperately trying to drag us into their filth we wouldn't have had W, we wouldn't have Trump, we could have had universal Healthcare and just generally not sold everything out to the oligarchs.

The rise of the United States was due to the destruction of the south as a political power, allowing the rest of the country to grow, for instance the transcontinental railroad.

Cancer can go into remission, but it doesn't always stay there.

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Every single Confederate officer and politician should have been hanged until dead.

[–] InvertedParallax@lemm.ee 1 points 3 days ago

Absolutely not!

What kind of message does that send?!

We should have given all the slavers to their slaves, and then just walked away.

Let nature quietly take its course.

Americans were quite sympathetic towards the Nazis before the war. A lot of the pseudo-science race teachings and call for eugenics, which is genocide, were supported in the US. The Nazis got inspired by the flag saluting fascist ritual "pledge of allegiance" that still exists today, but long before. Henry Ford and other "models of the American Dream" could spread their Antisemitic hatred globally, while being recognized, revered or at least tolerated by their US American co-citizens.

The US was on its best way to become a fascist empire in the 20th century already, without any influence from the German Nazis. The German Nazis may have helped slightly, but the responsibility lies with the US Americans. After all the US was founded on a settler colonial white supremacist ethnic cleansing and genocide itself.

I agree with your conclusion. The US will not stop until it is stopped, like any other fascist country will not stop until it is stopped.

It's certainly time for the US NOT to be the most influential. There should be term limits on stuff like that.

[–] Chainweasel@lemmy.world 34 points 4 days ago (4 children)

I know America deserves all the shit we're getting right now.
But I feel like like people in other countries are being a bit cavalier about the fact that they're locked in a room with America and it's got a loaded gun.
Trump may be an idiot, but he has the world's largest army and a nuclear arsenal at his fingertips.

[–] confusedpuppy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 21 points 4 days ago

I used to think he was a big dumb dumb. Then January 6th happened and I quickly realized he was a dangerous idiot and I haven't been the same ever since.

I've been watching history repeat itself while I've been surrounded people who still act like Trump and his cult-like followers are still a bunch of silly dumb dumbs.

I'm too exhausted to have any words to say anymore.

[–] Phil_in_here@lemmy.ca 15 points 4 days ago

Republican America is not a loaded gun. It's a deranged rabid coyote. It seems so obvious: don't fight the rabid coyote. No one will win. But we're trapped here with it. Its taking its bites out of everyone close to it, and everyone else. What the fuck else are we supposed to do? Lie down and take it? Stand on the table and try to keep away? No one is coming to save us. This will not go away. They will not surrender.

The only way out is through; for Americans to start their civil war to disrupt their regime or, if they can manage it, figure some other way to oust their fascist government and their cult. To all the Americans fighting the good fight, keep it up, the world literally needs you.

The Republicans have already proven the laws mean nothing. They're already boasting plans to stay for a 3rd term. There's no waiting this out.

So, bring it on, you fascist fucks, let's fucking go.

[–] SARGE@startrek.website 10 points 4 days ago

It's very much the "you're locked in here with me" moment.

It's been a bit concerning seeing all the people just giddy with the prospect of millions of people dying from internal issues, either idiotically not understanding or simply being too naive, that when an animal dies, it doesn't go quietly. Especially not when it senses the cause of its death is near.

And I believe enough people will view the rest of the world as the cause, I genuinely think if it came down to losing control permanently or causing the literal end of the world by launching as many nuclear and conventional strikes as possible before death takes them.

Personally, I don't relish the downfall of any major country, and despite other countries issues I'd rather see them overthrow their tyrannical governments than grab popcorn and cheer as they crumble to civil wars and starvation. That just seems a bit too close to being "arch villain from a cartoon" for my taste.

I'd really like to see the Cure For Fascism being used here in my own country, but unfortunately "be the change you want to see in the world" just leaves a dead crazed lone gunman in the street. Organization will be needed.

I'm rooting for the Yellowstone supervolcano at this point.

[–] GoodLuckToFriends@lemmy.today 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

It's not a thing, sorry. You've been misled. https://www.sciencenews.org/article/yellowstone-volcano-erupt-more-magma-found

Here's a video with a really cool dive into the science behind it. https://inv.nadeko.net/watch?v=ypn3Fe_PLts

Godammit, now I have to hope for an asteroid strike.

[–] Ilovethebomb@lemm.ee 29 points 4 days ago

It took me a while, but I finally understand why "may you live in interesting times" is a curse.

Ooh boy.

[–] EchoCT@lemmy.ml 12 points 3 days ago

Dude. I fucking live here. I wanted to watch the hegemony decay, we've been responsible for some absolute nightmares. I did not want to life through shitting ourselves like a sun-setting dementia patient.

Shower thought:

I wonder if Rome had stand-up comedians, and if they had the best humor before the fall.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Not for much longer if Trump stays in the White House.

[–] Harlehatschi@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 days ago

I'm quite happy to see this shithole disassembling itself. Was about fucking time.

[–] wanderwisley@lemm.ee 3 points 3 days ago

The most influential for now…

[–] KiwiHuman@lemm.ee 3 points 4 days ago

Depending on whether it is a slow self dismantling or a rapid explosion the US will either be a lot less, or a lot more influential.
