Okay. So will it run the eShop?

Oh come on, keep your expectations realistic here.
LOL "custom video processor by NVIDIA"
Don't want us benchmarking already eh?
Too bad that guy who bought a leaked motherboard already did
12 gigs of ram with 3 of that reserved for OS (probably because of the game chat stuff) seems like a bad move in 2025. Sure, it’s more ram than ps4 had but it’s probably going to be a bottleneck in 5 years from now.
They might allow the game to use the reserved memory, or a part of it, if it doesn't have voice chat.
You can seemingly voice chat from any game with anyone else, even in different games, through their little streaming friends app thing.
Specs: will sue you if you think of anything else while playing on it.
Do any of the Switch accessories, like the Pro Controller, work with the Switch 2?
Yes, They've shown videos of how to pair them (Exactly the same as you would on Switch 1) on the App they put out.
You can still use the Pro1 Controller and "Old" Joycons on the Switch2.
Awesome! Thanks for the response!
They did note a few small things wouldn't work, like waking the system remotely using the home button on an old JoyCon, but for actual playing, it should work fine.
Finally some specs! This being said I have close to no idea what these mean. How does it compare to, let's say, a PS4?
I'm more curious about the steam deck
PS5 is 5 years old. New Nintendo console comes out, how it compares to PS4. 😂
I mean it's a portable device that sips less power. That's a pretty bad faith comparison.
Dock mode shouldn't be limited by power though. PS4 portable would be impressive, but docked? nah
That's not how chips work... It would be a miracle if it even scaled linearly but most of the time it doesn't. Without going into too much detail, there's a reason why Intel and AMD make different chips for laptops, desktops and servers.
I think DLSS will save it. It could achieve ps4 portable and PS4 pro docked thanks to DLSS. Raw performance not even close.
The history of Nintendo is a good read. They have always chosen technology that has been around for a while, they never tried to take any tech lead. Nintendo takes existing tech (affordable) and use it in a new and exciting ways.
Sad to see that Nintendo this time around takes old tech, but does not use it in any new way and charges premium. 😢
Let me guess... no Ethernet port.
EDIT:
nvm... "In TV mode, Nintendo Switch 2 can be connected using the wired LAN port on the dock."
Lan ports have been standard, thankfully, since the Switch OLED.
