Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Ah yes, Tennessee. The only place that should be deciding the merit of democratic elections in NYC.

[–] mintiefresh@piefed.social 6 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

This is generally their solution to everything these days lol

[–] Salamanderwizard@lemmy.world 1 points 4 minutes ago

I wonder what it's gonna be like when they get rid of everyone brown and it's only pasty old white guys running for office. How quickly will they turn on each other?

[–] Zezzoz@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

Just another crack summing up to the million ones that are already there.

That's just a shorter way to spell Republican.

[–] FenrirIII@lemmy.world 7 points 9 hours ago

There's a four-letter word beginning with 'c' that's better

[–] Donjuanme@lemmy.world 48 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

Why the fuck does Tennessee think they have a damned thing to say about new York? Is their leaching federal tax dollars not enough? Get back to begging for New York scraps you damn country music Hicks

Just to clarify, TN is barely a net contributor to the federal budget. They are a net contributor by $4 billion, NY state is a net contributor of $89 billion.

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 6 points 7 hours ago

Hey now at least it shows that against all odds TN is at least a vaguely functional state. It's not a Mississippi where it's dead in the water or Idaho where it has some potential but would require billions in infrastructure improvements alone.

Uh... STATE'S RIGHTS! Uhm.. or something, IDK why MAGAts are

"He looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he's not very smart," - Trump

Dude! You appointed RFK and this is your complaint about Mamdani‽

[–] morphballganon@lemmynsfw.com 3 points 8 hours ago

RFK surely had to donate millions to get where he is.

[–] TommySoda@lemmy.world 50 points 14 hours ago (2 children)

These guys are so ready to jump on this that I think they are forgetting to actually think about what they are saying. I don't think they are ready for what could happen if they try to deport this man. They would just create a martyr.

[–] 14th_cylon@lemm.ee 45 points 14 hours ago (3 children)

They would just create a martyr.

Which would lead to some civil unrest and they would just start shooting at people using live ammo.

I am afraid they are perfectly ready for that.

[–] Xaphanos@lemmy.world 28 points 14 hours ago

Excited even.

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 15 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

The only way you’re ever getting a chance at democracy back is with mass, violent civil unrest.

I’m afraid you’re not even bothering to prepare for that.

[–] SayJess@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 12 hours ago

There are a growing number of people that are truly believing that some sort of armed resistance is what is needed. But, who wants to be the first to take up arms (or otherwise show a violent resistance)?

The US government and military have shown that they have no qualms about violently suppressing peaceful protests. Imagine what they would do to those that showed even an inkling of violence. Those who stand up first would be nothing but cannon fodder.

Who wants to be the first? To be martyred? There aren’t enough people who have nothing else left to lose. Not yet.

[–] 14th_cylon@lemm.ee 2 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I’m afraid you’re not even bothering to prepare for that.

Me? No, I am not. But considering there is an ocean between me and United states, I suspect I wouldn't be big help, prepared or not.

[–] Ryktes@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

When the tree of Liberty is thirsty, all hands are welcome that are willing to help in the watering.

[–] TommySoda@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago

For the ones that are bloodthirsty, absolutely. But with how pissed off people are right now I don't expect us to just go quietly into the night as they start shooting people. And I don't think they are ready for those consequences.

[–] Ryktes@lemmy.world 13 points 14 hours ago

Why would they care? It's not the first red line they'd have crossed. Hell, it's not even the tenth one this year. This is their new normal, and they aren't going to stop until we all collectively stand up and make them stop.

[–] KnitWit@lemmy.world 7 points 10 hours ago

I wonder with today’s SC ruling if they actually are going to try and deport him. From what I understand that would now be an actual option, fucked up as it is.

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 20 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Deporting a US Citizen for saying things the Congressman doesn't like. Remind me when was American this "great"?

[–] AdamEatsAss@lemmy.world 4 points 10 hours ago

"Great" is actually an acronym for Get Racist Every Available Time.

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 24 points 14 hours ago

Another state to stay away from, and another politician to kick out of office.

[–] supersquirrel@sopuli.xyz 17 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

Oh, Tennessee, that is one of the government handout states right?

[–] MetalMachine@feddit.nl 0 points 5 hours ago

Man, the establishment and the zionist are so mad about this, this wasn't even a general but a primary

[–] WoodScientist@sh.itjust.works 13 points 13 hours ago

Well I'm calling for Andy Ogles to be hanged for treason.

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 12 points 14 hours ago

Consider improving your infant mortality, murder, and teenage pregnancy rates before taking to twitter, dude.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 8 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I call for Andy Ogles to get deported to mars on a leaky space craft. So there. I call him "Little Trump". SO DOUBLE THERE You inbred inebriate.

[–] not_that_guy05@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Why not send them with a titan to the bottom of the ocean. Like the some he is

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

What and add more junk to the ocean?

[–] not_that_guy05@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago

Add more nutrients and ability for coral reefs?

[–] baratheon@lemmy.world 5 points 13 hours ago

new strategy, lets deport the opposition...(facepalm) that would seriously mark the end of democracy for the US

[–] don@lemm.ee 6 points 13 hours ago

People should start publicly calling for shitgobblers like him to be deported. And then deport him.

[–] rhvg@lemmy.world 4 points 13 hours ago

Politicians willing to say/do anything to stay in the news and get his voter remember his name.
