The 'Israeli' army has launched a criminal investigation into the leak of footage from the Sde Teiman detention camp, which shows a blindfolded, handcuffed Palestinian detainee being raped for approximately 15 minutes by a unit of 'Israeli' reservists.

The probe focuses on whether officials in the Military Advocate General’s (MAG) office which facilitated the leak to Channel 12, rather than targeting the perpetrators themselves. 'Israel’s' chief military prosecutor, Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, has taken leave amid the scandal.

The fuck? Why are they investigating the whistleblower and not the fucking rapists?

Fuck that shithole and everyone who supports it.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 2 points 19 minutes ago

Why are you surprised . Zionists even before the creation of the terrorist state wanted to genocide palestinians

This is indeed horrific. It's also almost standard practice for many nations, including the USA (my country), where whistleblowers are routinely put in prison instead of their information being evaluated seriously.

[–] Snowclone@lemmy.world 3 points 1 hour ago

Hay hay! Corporate whistleblowers often just die. Of reason.

Makes me want to throw up

Please advocate for Nuremberg Trials for these Nazi atrocities. Justice for the victims of ethno-nationalist fascism is as necessary here just as it was after the holocaust.

I just cannot fathom the level of inhumanity it takes, even in war, to do something like this. To see a prisoner raped and think that the right course of action is to persecute the person who brought it to light. These people are evil.

It's beyond fucked up. The "state of israel" is a terrorist organization that must be destroyed, and everyone involved tried for their crimes.

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 4 points 6 hours ago

Seriously. Even if everything went exactly how I want it to (it won’t ever) it would be difficult to punish an entire country without also committing atrocities though.

They are supremacists that see everyone else as dogs to be abused and killed.

It's why Israel has no future and needs to be wiped from the map and only spoken about as a shit stain on the underpants of history

Didn't Israelis advocate for the right for military personnel to rape Palestinian prisoners?

That's why they're trying to find the whistle-blower.

Yes this is that case.

Why don’t they investigate the rapists? Is anything illegal in Israel?

[–] Catalyst_A@lemmy.ml 15 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

They held a "right to r*pe rally" after the incident and won the public support victory. The actual r*pist is now doing a talk show tour in Israel. Ben Gvir said if their Hamas then they can be r*ped. With no due process or evidence at all they can say anyone is Hamas, arrest them and r*pe them. Israel and America or totally morally bankrupt.

[–] bluesocks@lemmings.world 4 points 4 hours ago

You can say rape.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 points 9 hours ago

Yeah, the leak is the problem here. Fucking monsters.

[–] KoboldCoterie@pawb.social 14 points 10 hours ago (3 children)

Why are they putting Israel and Israeli in quotes? Are they implying that it wasn't actually Israelis perpetrating this, or that it isn't actually Israel performing the investigation? Or is this some political statement I'm not privy to?

Roya is Jordanian news site. Jordan doesn't recognize Israel as a country but an illegal entity.

[–] redrumBot@lemmy.ml 5 points 7 hours ago

I thought Jordan had recognized Israel in 1994, when they signed the peace agreement.

Nice to know that they have retracted.

[–] KoboldCoterie@pawb.social 5 points 8 hours ago

Gotcha, thanks for the context.

Israel is a recently created country that only exists on stolen Palestinian land. It's highlighting the fakeness of its existence. It's occupied Palestine.

[–] RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz 1 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Huge chunk of world's countries are younger than Israel. Like most of African countries for example. I don't think the age itself means much

[–] NewDark@lemmings.world 1 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

It matters as it's relative to international law being established and the country explicitly existing on stolen land.

[–] RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz 1 points 5 hours ago

It sounds like in itself it doesn't matter but rather in connection with something else

[–] kokesh@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

Maybe because israel is a "state"? Don't know. But it should be dismantled.

[–] bouh@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

Why is Israel word between quotes?
