Manga is so much better. In adaptation they tried fitting 144 chapters in 24 episodes.

ROFL speed run. Which actually explains plenty. I'm disappointed they didn't add a dog in there and a hot springs episdpe while they were at it.

FYI: They're skipping a lot here. I would highly recommend reading the source manhwa or even better the light novel based on the manhwa which added more details on top.

Each media adaptation cuts out more stuff. Often it's not needed for the core story.

Two things I like to point out that's cut from the LN:

SJW flex

SJW and Jin-ho were chatting in the cafe about the offer. Jin-ho has issues talking due to some teen boys being loud trying to show off for some girls. SJW excuses himself, goes up to the counter, asks staff "how much for this spoon?" Staff says it's not for sale, SJW then walks up to the table with the teens and theyre all jumpy being "what do you want?"

Then SJW rolls the spoon into a ball and slowly rolls it across the table. The teens leave after and SJW sits back down with jinho.

Totally pointless bit, but I find the scene a funny flex.

Second thing cut is the fact that AJW heals while sleeping after the failed daily. The nurse realizes he has regeneration and asks a hunter associate friend about skills and if anyone can regen. She then tries to get close to SJW after finding out he has a S tier skill. She does get his number in all media, but in LN she hits him up and he ignored her.

Another pointless thing cut out.

I would argue that those examples aren't pointless. Just showing fight scene after fight scene without anything in between is pointless. Take your first spoiler as an example: that scene highlights his change in personality. The same goes for the second spoiler with added info about how abnormal his abilities are.

Then there is all the deliberating and thoughts he had in the secret dungeon. In the anime he enters, there is a montage, he fights some boss and he leaves all in the span of just a few minutes.

Oh we're definitely missing some major bits in his emotional transformation. They screwed up the first dungeon and they're speedrunning the S rank dungeon. I hope they slow it waaay down for our next waifu and the backstory that's coming.
