I guess I find it confusing because (for me), the term liberal was used as a synonym for a lefty. I know left of US "liberals" don't like liberals, but that's more of a recent revelation to me

Fuck off Benny. Either answer the question or move on if you have no desire to have a conversation
I think the world liberal is used... Liberally. I usually equate it in the US political term for left of center (or rather the opposite of conservatives), but I know the entire US political system is hijacked - both "sides" answer to the same overlords
My experience has been that computer science is a huge umbrella term to normies. Many people, including hiring managers seem to thing computer science is more of a trade education where people come out knowing everything about excel, windows, PowerPoint, file conversions, obscure knowledge of ancient software, expertise in setting up enterprise printers, etc
I was developing software for a position I was in, and everyone was shocked I was a developer... (It was a devops job where everyone basically edited yaml or json files all day long..)
People who disagree with you are people who never spent time with the ultra rich. I've had the pleasure to hang in those circles and it was absolutely eye opening the complete disdain that social class has toward the working class. It's so fucking crazy that one has to see it for themselves to truly appreciate the hate they have for everyone not in their economic circles.
Preach on brother, but I also understand why the plebs don't believe you
Republicans live in blue states also
But are the wine producers Republicans? I tend to find they are
We spent way more than one Trillion...
Class solidarity of the top 10%. They own the media, they want the Republican agenda of tax cuts, deregulation and whatever else make them more individually wealthy.
It's bottom ~70% who can't seem to figure out what class solidarity is
Conservatives hate knowledge, learning is toxic to them. Also the people who start with burning books usually end up burning people eventually
