Here's another article from March, bit of context.

I've only seen a few videos about Playtron, but I was under the impression that the crypto stuff was always part of their project from almost day 1.
Funnily enough, that's also the time period the idea of "most accidents happen in your own home" really got legs.
To be fair, it's a pretty rage-inducing proposal.
In August 2021, members of Rooke’s team took a Star Wars themed Myers-Briggs questionnaire as a team-building exercise.
I'd hate working there.
Rooke did not participate as she had to take a personal phone call but when she returned a colleague, Amanda Harber, had filled it out on her behalf and announced that she had the same personality type as Vader – real name Anakin Skywalker.
It makes sense she'd be pissed.

My friends and I would often do a night run at the local computer café which was fairly cheap. I'm glad I was a teen at the time, I definitely wouldn't enjoy being awake all night nowaday, but fun times indeed.
Hahaha, "save on electricity bills", sure that's totally what'll happen.
Recently I've binged "Common Side Effects" which is yet another Mike Judge banger. I'm not sure if there's a season 2 planned, but season 1 can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone with how it ends.
A show I was recommended randomly was "The Eternaut". It's a 6 episode Argentinian Netflix show based on some pretty old comic books. The series is excellent "War of the worlds" style scifi. It has been renewed for season 2.
I don't know too much about Argentina, but the author was half German and he was part of the Montoneros guerilla movement when the military junta was in power in the 70s, so that's a whole rabbit hole one can go down - very interesting.
Killjoys
I looked through some of the film stills on IMDb for Killjoys and it was kinda fun to recognize so many faces from The Expanse.
@thejoker954@lemmy.world mentioned The Eternaut, and you look like you enjoy good tv-scifi, so you might want to consider giving that a go as well.
I would've been shocked if they didn't give this a season 2. It's the best original scifi I've seen this year. I know its source material is old, but they really did the best job they could with a budget of just $15 million.
Have you watched "Common Side Effects"? It's an Adult Swim show by Mike Judge which has a bit of conspiracy theme to it.
Damn straight.
