Do you think Tucker will ask if he knows the population of Israel?

[–] gedaliyah@lemmy.world 28 points 18 hours ago

Russian asset. They've been backing Iran from the start.

Republicunts are split between 'let's bomb Iran to stone age' and 'let's try to avoid this war'. Amazing conundrum to be in.

Why does it have to be him? Couldn't there be one dove in the "liberal" main stream media asking those questions, rather than manufacturing consent for endless war?

[–] SassyRamen@lemmy.world 32 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

He follows Putins orders, he's a part of the ruZZian media arm in America. You know.. a god damn traitor, that needs a new neck tie.

[–] StarryPhoenix97@lemmy.world 8 points 20 hours ago (3 children)

That makes sense. It's funny how people have forgotten the women's protests of a few years ago and are quick to jump to Iran's defense. They may not be the aggressors but as a country they aren't innocent. They have their problems. Russia trying to get their hegemony makes sense.

[–] Saleh@feddit.org 1 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

Netanyahu has been publicly embracing these protests. I think in the current climate nothing is more deligitmizing for a civil and human rights movement than having the genocidal imperialist mass murderer Netanyahu on your side.

The problem is that any protest movement in Iran is probably also under the influence of foreign interests.

At the same time people claiming Tucker Carlson to just be doing whatever Russia tells him falls short on the positions of MAGA as a movement. MAGA doesnt want another endless war in the Middle East. It makes sense for them to challenge the hawkish and zionist American mainstream media that is replaying the Iraq era propaganda to manufacture consent for the US to go to war for Israel.

This doesn't need an order from Russia. Subsequently it is a logical strategy for Zionist propagandists to emphasize the connections between Carlson and Russia in order to delegitimize the vary notion, that Americans could be tired of having their oligarchy tell them who are the good and the bad guys.

In the opposite words of someone much dumber than us, there are bad people on both sides

[–] StarryPhoenix97@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

Yeah it's too bad the phrase "both sides" has become another trigger term for people. You legitimately can't say anything anymore. Tribalism is a real problem online. You used to be able to have opinions that differered from other people. On principle I understand wanting to advocate for human rights. But bad actors have turned what should be a forum for discussion into what amounts to a binary rap battle. It's online gang warfare that's been cultivated to stop communication and growth. It's gross. Life is complicated and we can't always be right but we can always try our best.

Nobody was defending Iran reigious autocracy, just iran right to self defense against the agressor. Israel killed 137 women in 12 days. How many civilians was you ready to sacrifice for a regime change to be replaced by a puppet regime? Saudis are as bad as iran would you have supported bombing them?

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 3 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago) (1 children)

Yeah, bombing Iran has nothing to do whatsoever with human rights. It's all about Israel's interest and whoever else shares it. If we cared about human rights and couped governments for that, we'd be all up in the Gulf's ass, Israel's (because of Gaza, West Bank), among others. Even if that was the goal, history informs us that the chances of a government that's better for human rights is less likely than a worse one. Some Zionist acquaintances took a week of glorifying Israel's "victory" in Iran, before turning around to shit on Gulf countries and China for their human rights abuses. I'm so done with this shit..

[–] StarryPhoenix97@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

I didn't have a point in my statement. You and everyone else can take it easy with the geoploiticing. I'm aware that generally there isn't anyone completely in the right in the middle east. I was just pointing out how interesting it is that I was condemning Iran not two years ago and wanting a regime change and now Isreal is picking this fight. I was tempering my own mental reaction. Things move fast and we forget things. A western puppet gov in iran might actually be good for its people. I just dont think the US should put troops on the ground. We all sit behind a screen and talk into the void picking sides and arguing about this and that but for now, it amounts to nothing.

[–] rumimevlevi@lemmings.world 4 points 15 hours ago

Republicans are more pro israel. This could help the palestinian cause .While Carlson is russian puppet, it is irelevant in the topic of iran
