I think we're mostly surprised that anyone outside Denmark is aware of any of our politics really.

Poland is a very different country than Denmark. Peoples views on political parties can hardly be compared.

One of the few leftist political parties who actually take notice of what's happening in Sweden, France, Germany etc. involving non-integrable immigrants from MENAPT
HunterUnicornDragon at 2024-03-24 13:02:55+00:00 ID: kwc0qoi
Want to exchange parties? We'll even throw in some mink fur-coats and some mackerel salad just to get rid of the whole corrupted lot. Just... be careful not to let them near any 15 year old girls.

Socialdemokratiet is not at all left-wing anymore. It was left when it started before it turned center-left and by now it's just a center party (if not center-right).
imSpejderMan at 2024-03-24 12:36:32+00:00 ID: kwbxltr
Socialdemoktratiet isn’t really left wing anymore. It’s more somewhere around the center maybe leaning a big left, but very much so right in other instances. I do doubt that they’ll win the next election considering the last few years, but people tend to forget quite quickly so maybe I’m wrong.
SendStoreMeloner at 2024-03-24 12:56:49+00:00 ID: kwc000t
Socialdemoktratiet isn’t really left wing anymore.
It's center left and always have been.
Tychus_Balrog at 2024-03-24 13:04:26+00:00 ID: kwc0xg3
Before the 90s it was very much a leftist party
SendStoreMeloner at 2024-03-24 13:06:15+00:00 ID: kwc15gt
SF was always more left and so was the communist and Venstre Socialisterne.
That still places Socialdemokratiet on center left.
Tychus_Balrog at 2024-03-24 13:09:28+00:00 ID: kwc1jz5
Yes, they were far left. But Socialdemokratiet was still left. And if we go back to the beginning of the party they had their far shair of far leftists as well. This was before SF was even a thing.
They were talking about genuine socialism in those days.
Jakutsk at 2024-03-24 18:03:21+00:00 ID: kwdbrio
Yeah, true. Even as far as the 60s they were talking about moving onto socialism.

"Duńska lewica jest antyimigrancka i dzięki temu wygrała 3 wybory z rzędu cały czas ciesząc się ogromną popularnością i poparciem"
Den danske venstrefløj er immigrationsfjendtlig og takket være dette vandt den tre valg i træk, mens den stadig nyder enorm popularitet og opbakning.
Yes there is a pretty hard line across the isle in Denmark. Otherwise you lose elections.
Ptjgora1981 at 2024-03-24 13:51:18+00:00 ID: kwc72gc
Not to be a prick, but it's aisle not isle.
Edit: Grammar 🤣🤣🤣
MadsenFraMadsenOgCo at 2024-03-24 12:47:36+00:00 ID: kwbywj0
Hvilke tre valg i træk?
SendStoreMeloner at 2024-03-24 12:56:13+00:00 ID: kwbzxid
MadsenFraMadsenOgCo at 2024-03-24 12:57:49+00:00 ID: kwc04e2
SendStoreMeloner at 2024-03-24 12:59:45+00:00 ID: kwc0ctz
Gorilla_Kurt at 2024-03-24 15:20:15+00:00 ID: kwckj1r

hard line across the isle
didnt the two parties who has been battling each other for 100 years just form a government together?
I've never seen a softer line across the isle than right now..
Aenyn at 2024-03-24 13:03:49+00:00 ID: kwc0upy
I think the hard line referred to the stance of all the parties regarding immigration policies.
viking_nomad at 2024-03-24 12:38:34+00:00 ID: kwbxugy
They did and the social democrats is definitely winning the combination. Venstre split in 3 and is much smaller than it used to be
Fysiksven at 2024-03-24 12:57:59+00:00 ID: kwc053u
this is only true if you view succes as going up in the polls. Venstre got a LOT more of their policy through than they would have got as an opposition to a Social demokratiet government suported by the left. People seem to forgot that the right wing lost the election and yet here we are getting tax cutoffs payed for by worsening the wellfare, not in general left wing policy if you ask me.
The Venstre split happened before the election so that is not due to them going into the government but yes the polls went downhill a lot since the election.
awl21 at 2024-03-24 13:19:26+00:00 ID: kwc2tf0
Venstre split before the election, though.
OrdinaryValuable9705 at 2024-03-24 14:11:19+00:00 ID: kwc9x9p
And socialdemokratiet is more unpopular than ever - so the whole winning thing seems kinda empty
KochamPamietnik2004 (OP) at 2024-03-24 12:33:29+00:00 ID: kwbx919
Yes, many Polish people are sad that the Polish left might soon find themselves out of the parliament and look at Denmark(the only actual democratic socialdemocratic country on Earth with 3 left-wing victories in a row) for inspiration on how to win
0-Snap at 2024-03-24 13:27:49+00:00 ID: kwc3wog
Even if you include the current government, which is much more centrist than leftist, the left has not won three times in a row. Mette Frederiksen, the current social democratic prime minister, won in 2022 and before that in 2019, but the election before that, in 2015, was won by the right wing.
ScarecrowJohnny at 2024-03-24 12:31:25+00:00 ID: kwbx0jk
And here I thought it was because of all their aid to Ukraine, but no. It's just plain old anti-immigration.
You should know that Socialdemokratiet is a center party though, not really left leaning.
mikk0384 at 2024-03-24 12:35:15+00:00 ID: kwbxgej
Compared to the rest of the world, even our right wing parties are leaning left.
DumtDoven at 2024-03-24 12:51:13+00:00 ID: kwbzc12
Compared to our own history, even our left wing parties are leaning right.
IshayuG at 2024-03-24 13:29:14+00:00 ID: kwc43ac
Only if you look at the 60's and 70's, which was Socialdemokratiet's old policy in full flower, and it nearly bankrupted the country.
I'm very glad they moderated themselves a bit. Denmark still has the 2nd highest tax revenue as a percentage of GDP in the world, exceeded only by France. To call Denmark right-leaning is absolutely insane.
Deiskee at 2024-03-24 13:07:43+00:00 ID: kwc1c3o
That narrative is completely correct. The red-block (what we call the majority of the left wing) changed their stance on immigration and had a great election that year because of it.
They have since changed, and moved closer to the middle. But at the time it worked and people were happy with it - and honestly, looking at Sweden we're still happy with it. Only a few parties want to revert it or bring back looser immigration.
Celthric317 at 2024-03-24 12:51:04+00:00 ID: kwbzbej
Well at least they are popular somewhere... /s
RealFakeLlama at 2024-03-24 12:50:54+00:00 ID: kwbzaoy
Why would want your left wing party replaced by the most anti worker party from here?
What are u talking about, llama? Its the only party that stops workers from striking. Multipel times. Even our right wing is smart enough to not suggest such things when in goverment.
I mean, i dont like the neo liberals ideal of a totaly free market where EVERYTHING is privatesed, but at least they dont intefeer with stikes - they see that as a free choise between workers and their employers (and not the goverment because there will be no goverment emplyees in their utopia)
fancyhumanxd at 2024-03-24 14:23:14+00:00 ID: kwcbogk
Polish people like autocracy.
JJ8OOM at 2024-03-24 13:22:03+00:00 ID: kwc35vi
Social-demokratiet is neither left-wing or friendly to foreigners. That is a thing of the past, today they have crossed the middle-line and is more in line with what Venstre was earlier (and Venstre is trying to figure out who they are now). The only real left-wing parties left is Socialistisk Folke-parti and Enheds-listen.

I really don't know. I am not polish!
But I have several (very skilled) polish coworkers. I will reach out to them an ask ;-) There is a lot of misconceptions about Denmark. Both good and bad
